About Guru
Ms. Swapna Gudemella
Ms. Swapna Gudemella, the driving force behind Raagaleena Dance Academy, is not only an accomplished Kuchipudi artist but also a passionate educator. Her deep-rooted connection to the art, coupled with her academic achievements, makes her the ideal mentor for aspiring dancers.
With a Master of Performing Arts Degree in Kuchipudi Dance from the University of Silicon Andhra, CA, USA, Swapna brings a unique blend of tradition and innovation to her teaching. Her journey in Kuchipudi started at the tender age of 4 under the guidance of Guru Sri Dr. Vedantam Ramalinga Sastry, and she has since achieved numerous milestones in the world of classical dance.

I live in Canada, and my teacher lives in Dallas, Texas. I am always doing my kuchipudi dance classes online, so far it has been amazing learning here. When I started dancing here, I was able to learn the techniques and steps easily, because of my teacher. My teacher has helped me push through hard steps, and improve where I need to. When you are on-line it is hard to learn the same as going to class, where your teacher can see you dancing and help you easier. But when I am online learning my teacher was really attentive, which I am very thankful for. My teacher took time so I could perfect all my steps and she helped me in learning new words, hand gestures and much more. I am so happy I get to dance here and I hope you do too.

Swapna Aunty is a great teacher. She has raised my interest in dance and did it with so much patience, passion, and motivation. She is such a great dancer and watching her dance has inspired me. In spite of having a family and being busy, she gives us her personal time and mentors us even after class hours.
